The Past two weeks in Ms.Lynch's Class...

Our June Water Challenge!

Ms.Lynch's Class have a goal for this month!

The girls in Sixth Class have an aim to drink at least one 

litre of water a day in school!

Everybody has began to bring in their 1litre water bottles.

On sunny days like the ones we've had this week you should drink at least 1.5 litres a day!

Remember to keep hydrated!

The St.Clares Book of Graditude

We the sixth class girs have come up with an idea.

We decided to make a book of graditude 

The whole school is taking part and creating their own page for the inside of the book.

We are also holding an art competition for thr front cover of the book,

If anyone would like to take part design your cover by next Friday!

Be as creative as you like ,

then at the end of the week Ms Lynch's Class will collect them and pick our favourite

for the cover!

Transfer Programme

Last Thursday our class started the 'Transfer Programme' , the Programme will run for 3 weeks.

The programme teaches you how to  cope with the changes in Secondary School.

The two people that came into our room to work with us were Sean and Denise.

All the girls thought the programme was very fun and helpful!

New Breakfasts

We in St,Clres are so lucky to get yummy breakfast every moring.

Last Friday we got a new breakefast, it was crossiants as a Firday treat.

Today we aso recieved new vanilla Glenisk yogurts.

We all enjoyed our new breakfast!

Friends For Life Refreshment Session

On Tuesday Ms.Meahon came back into our class for a Refreshment Session of FFL.

We were really excited to have her back in our class becasuse we hadn't seen her since March.

Last Day of Hurai Le Gaeilge

Today we had our last day of Hurai Le Gaeilge with Ms.Brady and Ms.Lynch.

We all really enjoyed our Gaeilge stations every morning!

Everyones Irish has improved after doing Hurai Le Gaeilge.

We would like to thank Ms.Brady for coming into our Class every morning!

Guide Dog Projects Underway!

The girls have started  to work on their Guide Dog projects and they are looking great.

Ms.Lynch can't wait to see all of them when they are finished!

Between last week and this week  :

• Started dance with Edel every Tuesday.

• We jogged to Aldi and back to improve our fitness ! 

• We went to Hotel Kilmore to receive a plaque and flag for participating in Junior Entrepreneur ( JEP )

We also sold some of our cards there, and met new people. Some girls from our class even got interviewed by Northern Sound and the Anglo Celt.

Today we received Rocky Road Cake slices with marshmallows for participating in the RSE program we did with our teacher Ms.Lynch and Mrs.Miley

Bank Holiday!

This week was a short week as all schools were closed on Monday. 

 Our school were really lucky because we had no school on Tuesday 

either!

Guide Dog Visit !

Yesterday, the 5th of May we had a special visit to the school.

Eleanor Lund a local volunteer for 'The Irish Guide Dog Association', came to our school to give us an educational talk, she also brought her assistance dog Ooki.

Eleanor has had Ooki for 7 years, and believe it or not ...Ooki is the ONLY assistance dog in Cavan!

All the girls from Ms.Lynch's and Mr. Arkin's Sixth Class really enjoyed the visit.

Follow The Icon!

On Thursday afternoon, everybody from, St.Clares went down to the cathedral to mass.

 They went down at half eleven to celebrate 150 years with the Redemptorists.

 There was a holy image of Our Mother Of Perpetual Health. 

Everybody sang two hymns instructed by the priest.

This week in Ms. Lynch's class...

New Breakfasts!

Today, Thursday the 28th of April we got new breakfasts. They were fruit pots. The fruit pots consisted of strawberry's, pineapples, apples and grapes. The girls said that they really enjoyed them.

Tomorrow's Sportathon!

Tomorrow the 29th of April we will have our yearly sportathon. We are really excited to participate in all the amazing activities. Our teacher, Ms. Lynch will be doing yoga in the story room.

Prayer service!

On Tuesday, the 26th of April we went over to Mr. Arkins's room to talk about our Confirmation with Jenny and Father Peter. Some girls in our class read out their Confirmation Report. They were excellent. We also talked about what we're going to do with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We got a prayer card and a certificate from the You Shall be my Witness Programme the we did in February.

Drug Posters 

Since we are reading our novel "Reaching The Heights" it deals with drugs among young people. We decided to create posters saying NO to drugs. Have a look at the display board outside room 4.

This Week In Room 4

This week one of our classmates Roisin and other girls from Mr.Arkins class went to play a soccer match and they won ! 

Well done ! 

We had a confirmation rehearsal on Thursday in the church at 8pm.

They showed us what to say, we went to confession too. So now were set for Saturday !

On Thursday Aine Cahill came into the school to sing for us and she was amazing !!
One of the songs she sang was White Piano .

On Friday we done paired reading with Senior Infants, It was a success ! The Senior Infants were very happy about our visit to their classroom .


We are having our confirmation this Saturday and we are very excited . All of us are going to look FABULOUS !!!

On Thursday the 7th  April we had our Junior Entrepreneur Showcase day.We sold all of our 250 cards.The most popular card was the Birthday Girl, and the least popular was the Congratulations.Also ,we presented a power point presentation to the customers.It showed them the journey of the business from start to finish.We have been working on this business idea for the past two years.We will be selling more cards next Wednesday.
